Sphindile (17) is from KwaMashu, a township located about 30 kilometers outside of Durban, South Africa. She hopes to become a doctor (cardiologist) and is interested in how doctors can work better, or more closely, with traditional healers in local communities.

“Ever since I came to Waterford, I have been able to broaden my knowledge and experience different cultures. I am happy about the opportunity to get a UWC education.”
