Head of Communications & Engagement
Lisa joined UWC International to lead the Communications and Engagement team in August 2023. Her busy team is responsible for much of the online and offline communications, digital marketing, media, PR and content development produced by UWC International. In addition, the Communications and Engagement team provides support for the UWC Governance bodies and crisis communications, media and digital guidance to all National Committees, UWC schools and colleges.
Lisa has an extensive range of communications and marketing experience: from developing complex marketing strategies to delivering targeted digital fundraising campaigns across multiple audiences. She has developed communication frameworks for organisations with a global footprint, as well as worked extensively with volunteers. Lisa has most recently worked in the not-for-profit sector at CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), prior to which she spent six years with the UK’s oldest tri-service military charity, SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity - where she was Director of Marketing & Communications. Before moving across to the not-for-profit sector, Lisa also worked in a variety of roles at marketing and advertising agencies, as well as for in-house corporate teams which included programme management, change management and transformation communications, corporate and public affairs, digital CRM platform development, policy development and much, much more.
Lisa lives in leafy, green North London with her family and her feral cat, Zorro! Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, watching live comedy and travelling - mainly so that she can discover exciting new food and cultures.
