Sonia is originally from Singapore and has lived in Thailand, Hong Kong, and Indonesia. Her professional experience spans three decades, with roles in leadership, financial investment analysis, strategic marketing, business process re-engineering and technology implementation across the Asia-Pacific region.

Sonia has been serving on the UWC Thailand School Board since 2021. Before her time on the board, she played a vital role in helping the school achieve its independence. On the board, she has worked to ensure it runs in accordance with the UWC mission and the UWC Thailand school motto of "Good Heart, Balanced Mind, Healthy Body." Her commitment to these principles is reflected in her work and dedication to the school's continuous growth and success.

Besides her professional career, Sonia is passionate about giving back to society. She volunteers with various human rights advocacy organisations. Sonia lives with her family in Thailand.
