About the role
UWC Mostar value candidates who are drawn to the distinctive educational experience of the United World Colleges and to UWC Mostar’s unique mission within the movement.
Currently, the following position will be available starting August 2025 for a minimum of one year:
- House-parent, full-time position on a fixed-term
Minimum qualifications:
- University degree (min 4-year degree/240 ECTS) in Psychology, Pedagogy, or any teaching field.
- Proven fluency in the English language.
Qualifications that would be an advantage:
- Passed First Aid Course.
- Previous relevant work experience (welfare and care for children).
- Proficient computer skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Interest in working with students ages 16-19.
- International awareness: the ability to make positive interactions in a multicultural environment.
- Teamwork.
- Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise urgent tasks.
The primary responsibilities and duties:
- Pastoral care of students in the residence.
- Safety and well-being of the students in the residence.
- Responsible for the logistics of the residences: supplies, equipment.
- Living in the residence (separate apartment provided).
