Having worked in the field of education for the past 12 years, I am passionate about the role of education in people’s lives and how education can truly be a force for change.  I hold a Master's of Science degree from the University of Guelph in Rural Planning and Development. For the first 15 years of my career, I worked for the Canadian Federal Government in the field of planning and communications.  This passion for communications ultimately led me to Yukon University where I have taught communication courses for the past 12 years within the Multimedia Communications Program and the Bachelor of Business Administration.  I have two sons, Zach and Max, who attended UWC Pearson and Adriatic.  Living in Canada’s north has given me a unique perspective of living close to the land and living and working on the traditional lands of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council.

"UWC has been so important to my family for the last number of years.  I would love to see as many kids as possible have the experience of attending a UWC school.  Education can truly be a force to change the world for the better.  I am thrilled to be part of making that happen."
