Global Leadership Forum
UWC-USA
Global Leadership Forum (GLF) is UWC-USA’s short course that provides some of the same leadership learning found in UWC-USA’s two-year
pre-university programme.
GLF provides the skills and understandings to help young people be culturally competent leaders and community builders. A certificate of completion will help convey the important learning achieved in GLF.
The programme provides important skills by combining hands-on learning with solid theory. Students will concentrate on the following areas of learning - critical thinking and problem-solving, collaboration and leading by influence, intercultural awareness, innovative approaches to leadership, media literacy and production and how to prepare for college admissions.
The first programme took place in August 2011. Read about it in the
United World magazine. The next programme will take place from 3 -12 August 2012.
Who can apply
GLF is for students entering 10th and 11th grade (in China gaoyi and
gaoer) or their country's equivalent who are interested in preparing for
an increasingly global society.
