Action x Change
The UWC Spanish Committee Foundation
Action x Change is a 15 day summer programme organised by the UWC Spanish Committee Foundation (UWC España) to extend the reach of UWC values to more young people in Spain and abroad.
Under the theme of social entrepreneurship, 35 young people aged 14-17 will develop their own social projects while acquiring soft skills and tools, such as conflict resolution, budgeting, public speaking, project design, team building that will help them with the implementation of their projects.
The team of international coordinators and facilitators is formed of UWC alumni who are themselves social entrepreneurs and/or have experience in running summer camps and outdoor activities.
Senior and junior social entrepreneurs, as well as other guest speakers will visit the programme.
The programme will take place in Naturalcalá, a centre of environmental education near Madrid.

Online application: 11-27 April (candidates have to fill in a form in Spanish with a social project for a local context designed by them).

Who can apply
Anyone born in 1995, 1996 or 1997 - with high level of Spanish and good level of English - interested in developing and implementing a social project of their choice is welcome to apply.
Fees
The cost of the summer programme is €1,300, after a 40% scholarship funded by UWC España. Those candidates who are selected will have to pay €585 between 16-22 May in order to secure their place.
