Peter Hamer-Hodges, Math teacher

I teach at this United World College because it is a very special place (I know all UWC teachers think the same about their own college). I came to Montezuma New Mexico in August 1983 and thought that I would only be here for maybe 3 or 4 years as a stepping stone to somewhere else. But almost 26 years later I am still here. What makes it so special? My list is fairly short, the IB/UWC combination of both the academic and experiential educational programs, the amazing students that make teaching a real treat, the location, location, location and of course the amazing New Mexico weather.
