Students aged 2 - 16
UWC South East Asia, Waterford Kamhlaba UWC and UWC Maastricht provide education to a wider age range of students in
addition to teaching the IB Diploma
These schools teach the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) for 14-16 year-olds.
This model gives younger students the opportunity to gain a UWC experience and exposes many more students to the UWC values.
“We believe that you can educate the younger students in such a way that it ensures prejudices do not develop, they care about the environment, they show respect for other people and wish to help those who are less privileged than themselves.”
Julian Whiteley, Head, UWC South East Asia.
