Celebrating UWC's 50 years by putting our values into action

Celebrate with Action is a celebration for UWC’s 50th anniversary.

The celebrations will begin on Wednesday 19 September and last until Sunday 23 September. A formal ceremony on Wednesday 19 September at UWC Atlantic College will start a ‘domino effect’ of activities across the movement. Other anniversary events will take place over the weeks and months around the anniversary, such as a cycle ride across Europe from UWC Maastricht to UWC in Mostar.

All UWC members - students, school and college staff, alumni, national committee members and other volunteers - have been invited to plan an event, project, initiative or campaign that brings UWC's values to life. A combination of physical and online actions will make up a global celebration of 50 years of UWC.

Celebrating with Action will showcase UWC’s challenging and transformational education and demonstrate the impact the movement has had across the world in our 50 year history.

Actions are being organised by schools, colleges, national committees, alumni groups and friends all over the world, across continents and time-zones. Check back soon to find out more.
