Community programmes

All our schools and colleges are committed to working with the local community in which they are based.

UWC fosters a culture of social responsibility and volunteering. As well the community service programmes which all UWC students are involved in, many of our schools and colleges are involved in programmes in their local communities. • UWC Mahindra College - Akshara Programme - creating opportunities for children from rural communities in India to receive a vocational or professional education.
• Waterford Kamhlaba UWC - Young Heroes- Supporting orphans of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Swaziland
• UWC-USA - Old Town Mission Community Center - Renovating a building to make a community centre for the people of Las Vegas, New Mexico
