Robert Tomalin

Council Member - Head of UWC Colombia

Robert Tomalin has been the Head of Secondary School at Colegio Gran Bretaña in Bogotá since 2011, and in August of 2017 he will become the whole school Director there. He is in the final stages of his MA in International Education and has committed his whole career, thus far, to education and increasing access to it. He is a graduate of UWC Adriatic, and has been the President of UWC Colombia since 2013. He is also a member of the team of people who are trying to found a UWC on the ground in Colombia.

"I feel that I have a huge debt that needs repaying. My Primary Head Teacher saw something in me that he wanted to nurture at a UWC, and as a result the way I saw myself and my place within the world changed dramatically. Now it is my turn to look for young people who will not only get a lot out of a UWC experience but also contribute to our wider movement.”
