Amanda West Waterford KaMhlaba UWC,  1976-1980 Global Head of Innovation at Reuters

Amanda West (WK 76-80) is the Global Head of Innovation at Reuters. She is responsible for innovation and experimentation, identifying transformational growth opportunities for the Reuters Group. This includes identifying, funding and governing a number of market changing experimental projects, taking them through to the production of a prototype with the direct involvement of potential customers and external partners. A Venture Board chaired by Reuters CEO, Tom Glocer, supports and steers the projects and the overall Innovation Program.

Alongside her work at Reuters she is also a trustee of the Waterford School Trust (UK) and a member of the Trust’s fundraising committee.

Amanda previously held a number of different marketing roles at Reuters, most recently as the Director of Marketing Communications and prior to that in various Product Management roles.

She holds a degree in Geography from Leeds University.
